Our curriculum

We accept children from 1.5 to 7 years old. Our goal is to give children the knowledge of English, so that in the future they could easily master any other foreign languages, pass international exams at school, as well as enter any Russian or foreign educational institutions with good results.

Bilingual Curriculum Features

There are two basic principles in the ESL learning system (English as a second language): Acquisition and Learning. When your child learns English at school, language courses, etc., these two methods are interchangeable. However, in our kindergartens everything is different. Biophysically, these two concepts are completely different. Learning means consciously acquiring the material (in our case, the language) and its principles. Whereas acquisition occurs when a person begins to speak the language without thinking about its rules.

The implementation of the British preschool educational program Early Years Foundation Stage of the British National Curriculum allows the children to form two language systems (Russian and English) at the same time. Thus, our kids learn English faster and easier, as well as improve their Russian. The children communicate in English only with the native speakers, which provides correct authentic pronunciation together with up-to-date spoken vocabulary. This method has nothing to do with learning rules and problems like “I’ve been learning English for so many years, but there is no result.” Bilingual children do not need to think how to say something, they can do it automatically in two languages.

How lessons are conducted

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage of the British National Curriculum educational program.

During the day various types of activities are offered to kids. Mathematics, science, art, modeling, singing, dancing, designing, sensory games, lessons of history and traditions, language development, reading books together – all these activities are conducted in both English and Russian. In general, our curriculum is focused on the intellectual and emotional development of a child. Each kid receives an individual training plan.


A nanny and two teachers work with small groups (no more than 15 children). One teacher speaks Russian and English, and the second teacher is a native speaker of English. So children are completely immersed in the English language environment.

Bilingual development at different ages

From birth a child is able to distinguish sounds and melody. The best time to start communicating in a foreign language is from birth to 3 years old, when language centers develop in the baby’s brain and the language acquisition process is going on.

The next stage is from 4 to 7 years old. Since the child’s brain is now able to perceive several languages ​​and form additional language centers, the child can easily begin to communicate in a foreign language at the level of a native speaker, without translating phrases from one language to another.

Bilingual kids have a well-developed brain potential for memorizing and storing information, as well as increased mental abilities. Also, these children have а very high level of mathematical, logical and abstract thinking, as well as a predisposition to performing several tasks simultaneously.

The golden age for learning a language. Kids play sports, learn music, dancing and painting, develop their language, their motor skills, logic and thinking in two languages.

3-5 years old

Kids learn mathematics, the world around us, the basics of phonetics and acting. They receive aesthetical education in dancing, music and art classes. They also learn to be independent during project activities.



5-7 years old

Graduates of this group are ready to enter the prestigious schools of any English-speaking country in the world, as well as Russia. Children easily adapt to the  educational conditions and study well.

The "Mosaic" Curriculum

Pre-school education at Leaders International School is comprehensive, consistent and differentiated for each age group. The program “Mosaic”, which is based on the methodology of the Federal Educational Standard for Pre-School Education, uses system-activity and cultural-historical approaches. It is focused on preschoolers from 1.5 to 7 years old with different needs, including children with disabilities.

The educational program allows to develop:

  • physical abilities;
  • social and communication skills (interaction with peers, adults, including teachers, educators, parents);
  • cognitive abilities (through motivation to learn and active participation in gaming activities);
  • speech;
  • artistic and aesthetic perception of the world.

Targets are determined by the age characteristics and needs of a group of children, preschoolers’ abilities at a particular stage of development, education and socialization.

The "Mosaic" Curriculum Main Features

“Mosaic” is based on the principles of consistency, complexity and integration. The program applies proven psychological and pedagogical methods. Learning and development are comfortable for children and give predictable results.

As a part of the program, kids learn about the world around them through studying images. Visual, sound stimuli, game techniques for playing images (including body plasticity, pantomime) are used. The cognitive process does not stop even during independent creative activities under the guidance of experienced teachers.

“Mosaic” is a motivating curriculum. It is aimed not only at the development of various skills necessary for preschoolers’ further effective learning. The program also provides comprehensive support for children’s initiatives, which plays an important role in socialization.

Personality Oriented Development

“Mosaic” is a large selection of activities, many of which are specific to preschoolers. Classes are focused on the interests of children of the relevant age group. All activities are carried out under the supervision of experienced teachers. They help pupils decide on the choice of the most exciting direction, as well as on the one which would, at the same time, allow to solve priority pedagogical tasks.

The program provides psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of children’s personal educational results. Specialists constantly monitor the success of solving problems. This format allows us to individualize preschool education. Personalization includes the support of each individual child, the construction of an educational trajectory, and, if necessary, professional correction of developmental features. Also, the system for diagnosing personal educational results is aimed at optimizing work with the group.

The “Mosaic” program solves several important tasks at once: it ensures the conditions of safety and healthy lifestyles for preschoolers, respect for their rights, as well as the rights of all participants of the educational process and parents. It introduces children to society, family traditions, introduces social and cultural norms and teaches to follow them. Also, participants of the program develop a steady interest in knowledge and creative activity. All this contributes to the effective further socialization and successful learning.
